The premium spirits supplier Pernod Ricard Germany is strengthening its Public Affairs department. Since February 1, Jörg-Michael Rösner has assumed the newly created position of Head of Political and Government Relations, reporting to Tim Paech, Managing Director Pernod Ricard Germany and Western Europe.
The 40-year-old will steer political strategy development and, in addition to Germany, will also be responsible for Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Belgium in the future, according to the statement. "Jörg-Michael Rösner brings extensive experience in working with political stakeholders and we are delighted to have won him for this position. I am very much looking forward to our cooperation. As Head of Political and Government Relations, Jörg-Michael Rösner will be the first point of contact for political dialogue," said Tim Paech.
Jörg-Michael Rösner started his professional career in 2009 at the Ministry of Economic and Labour Affairs of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. In 2011, he moved to the Federal Association of the German Tourism Industry in Berlin as a political communications officer. Since 2014, he has led the conception, strategic development, planning, management and operational implementation of the association's political communications.
"I am looking forward to acting as the main contact in political Berlin for Pernod Ricard Germany as a modern and innovative employer that stands for team spirit and convivialité. It will be an exciting and new task for me, in which I will always be able to draw on my experience, but also get to know a lot of new things," explains Jörg-Michael Rösner.
