The Supervisory Board of GEA Group has appointed Johannes Giloth (49) to the company’s Executive Board with effect from January 20, 2020, where he will assume responsibility for the newly created Procurement, Production and Logistics organization.
Johannes Giloth comes from the Nokia telecommunications group, where he has held the position of Chief Procurement and Chief Supply Chain Officer for several years and - amongst other things - successfully implemented the digitalization of the group’s procurement organization and supply chain. Holding a Master of Business Administration and Engineering degree, Johannes Giloth already held many different management positions at both national and international level in the areas of procurement, logistics and production before assuming his current position, amongst others with Nokia and Siemens.
In the future, GEA’s currently highly decentralized purchasing activities will be subsumed under one global procurement organization. Moreover, GEA is seeking to further optimize its production footprint and bring about more flexibility, for instance by operating multi-purpose sites at which different products may be manufactured subject to demand.
